As a common project of "AOMORI GOKAN Art Festival 2024", Takashi Kuribayashi "Genki Furnace" will tour the venue. Takashi Kuribayashi has created works that focus on the "boundaries" that exist in all eras and places, such as the inside and outside of space, the boundaries between nature and humans, and between humans, and re-questig the meaning. Genki-ro is an experiential work that generates steam with the scent of medicinal herbs in a structure in the shape of a nuclear reactor, and the audience enters. Even in museums where the work is operated, medicinal herbs that grow naturally in each region are blended and used. The video work of "Genki-ro" released overseas by Kuribayashi will also be on display. At the "AOMORI GOKAN Art Festival 2024", under the title "Aomori GENKI-RO Trip", local music from local music transmitted to each region of Aomori, jazz, classical, etc. musician Sho Tatsuta will perform live. In addition, photographer and filmmaker Rai Shizuno will accompany and record the situation. Genki-ro" will travel to 5 museums in Aomori to embody the theme of 2024, "Tsuranari no Harappa", and will decorate the finale of this art festival while interacting with traditional culture and people inherited from each region.
